Give Thanks 5-4-3-2-1

While searching thanksgiving themed workouts I stumbled upon a 5-4-3-2-1 workout which if you’ve been to any of my wednesday Qs happens to be my signature/favorite style workout for getting it done!! Thankful for the 6 other PAX who got up this morning, a nice WARM morning, to get it in today…especially our 2 high schoolers who got up and worked out at 5 am on their day off!!!! MAD RESPECT LADIES!!
The Thang:
If you aren’t familiar, the 5-4-3-2-1 is segments of 5 mins, 4 mins, 3 mins and so on and each exercise is 1 minute each. These are awesome workouts if you’re house bound or traveling too because you can just pick out your exercises, set a stopwatch timer and go!
we did 3 rounds of the following:
Give thanks for our HEART:
jumping jacks
high knees
butt kickers
power jacks (demo here)
sprinters
Give thanks for our LEGS:
squats
wall sit
jump squat
single leg glute bridges
Give thanks for our ARMS:
push up (mod: use wall)
tricep dips
Carolina dry docks
Give thanks for our CORE:
Bicycles (mod: standing)
heel taps (mod: raggity Ann)
Active rest and we went around and said what we were thankful for:
plank (mod: side planks)
3 rounds of that and we ended with name o Rama in a Malasana squat for some extra stretching and went into COT. Prayers for Blacklist, Goonies and her 2.0 Raegan, Beetlejuice, Cha Cha’s SIL and all those traveling this week.

I told the girls I wasn’t feeling well and probably wouldn’t have gotten out of bed if I wasn’t Qing. But I’m also a baby when I get sick. It was nice we could talk a bit more in our circle since we didn’t have to keep count :) And of course once again I’ve never regretted getting up and working out with these ladies and our FiA community! (The old “I regret that workout - said no one ever is soooooooo true!) So thankful for all of you!
